Russian experts from the Russian Antarctic Expedition of the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute, as well as the Geoscan company, are now working to study hard-to-reach areas of Antarctica. Aerial photography is currently underway in this area using an unmanned aerial vehicle.

The scientists launched the drone using a catapult. The launch was carried out from the Molodyozhnaya station – from the helipad. At the same time, the weather was also good on the launch day: the temperature near the ground was +3°C, in the air – -5°C, the wind was southwest 2 m/s. The flight altitude during the shooting was 700 m, the time was 228 minutes.
