A follower of Navalny began developing his own VPN

To bypass website blocking in RussiaFormer employee of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (the organization was recognized as extremist, its activities are prohibited in Russia) Alexander Litreev began development on a new IT project – a decentralized VPN to bypass website blocking in Russia. DiscussNavalny's follower started developing his own VPN

As noted, Litreev used to have VeeSecurity OÜ, which developed a proxy server to bypass the blocking of the Telegram messenger. Now the specialist owns the Estonian company SolarLabs OÜ and is developing a decentralized VPN Sentinel network.

Its specificity is that, as a rule, VPN clients and services take into account the country and device from which the user went online, Sentinel should become more anonymous, not collect such data. In addition, this network should work on the basis of volunteer devices, that is, the user connects to a random node. Cryptocurrencies, torrent trackers and the Tor browser work on the same principle.

It is noted that such a VPN cannot be blocked. It will not depend on the owner and servers.
