This was stated by the head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine Yuriy Shchigol. According to him, cybersecurity officers will report directly to the Information Security Service.

Shchigol noted that this decision was made in connection with the increased cyberattacks on government sites. A total of 22 websites were attacked, including the Ukrainian equivalent of Gosuslug, the Diya online services portal. At the same time, 6 resources were seriously affected.

In addition, Yuri Shchigol said that soon Ukraine could legalize bug bounty – the process of finding vulnerabilities in software for a fee.
