Scientists from the Kant Baltic Federal University in Kaliningrad have invented a plasma beam that can heal wounds and disinfect medical instruments. “PfUsGslq” title = “A light beam for wound healing was invented in Russia” alt = “A light beam for wound healing was invented in Russia” A light beam for wound healing was invented in Russia />
As the head explained Dmitry Shitz, IKBFU Optical Radiation Laboratory, specialists from the university created a light beam obtained from the so-called non-thermal plasma that you can touch with your hands. Such plasma has a temperature at the level of the human body or room temperature.
Plasma is obtained from helium. Three tubes generate three streams, at a certain distance they become one stream with a coverage area of 1 sq. see
“We've learned how to generate a slightly different type of plasma, which is called non-thermal. That is, plasma that we can touch with our hand. Its gas temperature is relatively low, close to room temperature or the temperature of the human body. Thus, with the flow of this plasma, we can treat human skin and even open wounds, ”the IKBFU said.
