Spotted: AB reader bumps into Brabus B50

Just came across a very fat Mercedes S-Class like Brabus (B50) in our own country . It happened to an Autoblog reader and luckily we still have the photos!

Some cars are actually not sporty, despite manufacturers doing their best. So you can build a big AMG engine in an S-Class, but it remains a kind of moving cathedral that “gets out of place quickly for a cathedral”. Secretly, therefore, the Brabus B50 is an excellent compromise.

Brabus B50

Take a Mercedes S-Class Long (V223) in S500 specification, so with a three-liter six-in-line that normally delivers 435 hp and 520 Nm. Then you add relatively simple engine tuning, so that these numbers increase to 500 hp and 590 Nm. To top it off you add a luxurious interior and some subtle aerodynamic parts are added to the exterior. Finally, you blacken the whole device beyond midnight and add extremely large manhole cover rims. That's the Brabus B50. Just a slightly more powerful S500 that is luxurious and slightly faster.

Spotted in the Netherlands

< p>The result is a sinister device, so you have to do your best to recognize that it is something special. Autoblog reader Sebastian managed to distinguish the special Brabus B50 from the rest and made some pictures of it. All this in a place where you might not expect it: Appingedam in Groningen.

Verse on license plate

< p>An S-Class of the latest 223 generation will not be available for that long anyway, but this Brabus B50 is really brand new and the license plate confirms that. The license plate was issued on October 13, and then 265,319 euros were paid for the fat sedan.

A nice thick device and a nice car that we have in our national car register. Probably already the thickest S500 in our country.
