In 2020 in the capital of South Korea, Seoul appears unusual building of the Museum of science and robotics (Robot Science Museum, RSM), according to the portal New Atlas. The right to construction of the facility won the Turkish architectural company Architects Melike Altinisik (MAA). According to its leadership, one of the main features of the new Museum will be the fact that at all stages of its development and operation – from the production design to the design, construction and maintenance – it is planned to use robots and other tools of high technology, such as 3D printers and drones. The Museum itself was conceived by the Moscow government to attract public interest in robotics.
The Museum’s area will be 2 500 square meters, the total area of its premises will be 6,500 square meters. The Museum is planning to hold not only of the event, there will also be exhibitions dedicated to artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, holographic technologies, as well as various trainings on these fields. But the first and perhaps the most important exhibit will be the Museum building itself.

“The new Museum of robotics, which will play a catalytic role in the social advancement and the promotion of science, technology and innovation, will not only exhibit robots, but also build on their capabilities in everything from design, decoration to construction. In other words, RSM will present its first exhibition “self build” robots directly on the location of the building”, — said in a statement Architects Melike Altinisik.
The authors of the project say that the desire to create your own universe for robots and visitors will be expressed in the use of spherical and fluid shapes. According to the idea of architects, the building will be mostly made without the use of pie and rectangular shapes. While one team of robots will be engaged in the construction of the facade of the building, self-moulding, assembling, welding and polishing metal plates, a second group will create the surrounding landscape with the help of 3D printers that print with concrete. In addition, for patrol, inspection, security and monitoring of construction works will use a compact drones. Of course, the machines all work do not trust — there will be also people.
Under the proposed project, the Museum will be tightly integrated into the surrounding urban infrastructure. The absence of specific directions, together with the inclusion of public space inside the building and the organization of pedestrian and automobile transport, will help to create a sense of continuity between the city outside and inside the Museum.
The first exhibition at the Museum of science and robotics to be held in 2020. Full opening is expected in 2022-m.
