Smartphone makers are already working on technology which will allow to increase the display area relative to the area of the front panel. Samsung is preparing a smartphone with a “leaky” displays, where the small cutout is used for the front camera. Huawei is also developing similar technology.
Huawei received a patent for a built-in screen speaker. Simply put, in a small oblong cutout on the screen will be incorporated into the camera like Samsung and speaker.
The patent shows a frameless smartphone without a visible front-facing camera, 3.5 mm headphone Jack on the top side and a USB Type-C on the bottom face.
It is unclear when Huawei will release a smartphone with such features.
