Samsung will release the Android Pie for Galaxy Note 9, S9 and S9+ in January

At the conference for developers SDC 2018 in San Francisco, Samsung Electronics has confirmed the release dates of the updates to the latest Android operating system 9.0 Pie for its flagship smartphone — Galaxy 9, Galaxy S9 and S9+.

The 9.0 release of the Android Pie for them is scheduled for January 2019. The open beta program will run until the end of November in the United States, South Korea and Germany. A little later, a beta test can be extended to other countries in Europe and Asia.

The Korean manufacturer has given its corporate shell a new name — now called One UI and not Samsung Experience. Sheath One UI will debut as part of the update to Android 9.0 Pie.

According to the developers, the new design One UI more intuitive, minimalistic and without unnecessary details. The interface displays the most relevant content at the bottom of the screen, allowing you to more comfortably use the smartphone with one hand. The interface has been optimized and now allows to focus better on the information and faster to navigate the smartphone.
