Anti-virus company Avast conducted a study on password security in Russia. Statistics were disappointing on the background of regularly occurring leaks usernames and passwords of users of various services.
According to Avast, complex passwords bother only 10% of Russians. 55% use the same passwords for different accounts, despite the fact that 94% understand the dangers of this approach. 19% never change passwords, 29% go for this step only when the account is already hacked.
67% of respondents do not check whether someone with access to their accounts. 46% — believe that the information in their account is not of interest to attackers. Latest according to the experts wrong, such data can be used to continue attacks, including on the corporate system.
