Company Yandex reported today financial results for the third quarter of 2018. Among other things, it was announced that the service Yandex.Taxi first became profitable in Russia.
The company intends to continue to invest in similar services — unmanned vehicles and so-called “fogtech”. In the financial report Yandex.Taxi is included in the total direction of “Taxi” that also includes Uber, food delivery services Yandex.Food and UberEats. Note that Yandex.Taxi earned 26 October 2011.
The Director of Yandex Arkady Volozh said: “Our taxi service is actively developing and at the end of the third quarter became profitable in Russia is our key market. To ensure further development of the Taxi segment, we will continue to invest in other services of this type: FoodTech and unmanned vehicles, as well as the development of new markets.”
