Google has not complied with Russian law and will be fined. This was reported by the press service of Roskomnadzor.
Google has violated article 15.8 of the Federal law “On information, information technologies and protection of information”. In accordance with her system operators are obliged to exclude from the search results blocked in Russian Internet resources.
Previously Roskomnadzor sent to Google, the requirement to connect to the market. The search at the request of Roskomnadzor within 30 days must connect to the Federal state information system containing a list of banned Internet resources. After three business days the search system should start filtering search results.
Roskomnadzor checked the process and found that Google have joined the Federal state information system within the prescribed period.
For failure to comply with these requirements for legal entities provides for administrative responsibility – the penalty from 500 to 700 thousand rubles.
