Intel reported record revenue

Intel has reported financial results for the third quarter of 2018. The company received record earnings of 19.2 billion dollars and an operating profit of 7.3 billion dollars.

A large part of the income of 10.2 billion dollars, was derived from the sale of processors for normal computers, not hardware for data centers or devices, “Internet of things”. All this, despite the delay in the release of the highly anticipated 10-nanometer processors Cannon Lake.

Not so long ago in the network appeared rumors that Intel refused 10-nanometer products. The company had to make a rebuttal to these reports.

Earlier it was reported that Intel plans to release 10-nm processors Cannon Lake in 2019, but not at the end of 2018. This is the third delay in the release of these chips. On the conference call on financial performance, one of the top managers of Intel also said that he is confident that the 10-nm chips will start shipping the season of Christmas sales in 2019, closer to the end of next year.
