Huawei released new processors for smartphones and cars with autopilot

Huawei unveiled Ascend two processors designed for artificial intelligence systems. They aim to compete with similar solutions from Qualcomm and NVIDIA.

Chip Ascend 910 is designed for use in data centers, while Ascend 310 is oriented to devices with Internet connectivity such as smartphones, smart watches, gadgets “Internet of things” and so on.

The Ascend processor 910 is made for 7-nanometer process technology, and Ascend 310 — 12 nm. In addition, the maximum power consumption Ascend 310 is only 8 watts.

Systems based on these processors will begin to appear in the second quarter of 2019. Also in 2019 is expected to have a three chip systems based on artificial intelligence from Huawei, it will be updated and improved lineup.
