Soon Global HMD enthusiasts and developers to unlock the bootloaders on their smartphones. The first sign in this respect was the Nokia 8. This was announced by Services Juho (Juho Sarvikas), senior product Manager Global HMD, in his Twitter account.
This proposal is clearly not for everyone, because a single unlock causes the loss of warranty. After unlocking all of the content on your smartphone will be erased, including will have to reinstall the application.
It is expected that soon developers and enthusiasts do not have to be limited to only Nokia 8, official unlock of the bootloader will be available for other Nokia smartphones.
