The operator VimpelCom (brand “Beeline”) held today in Moscow together with Huawei demonstration of the practical capabilities of 5G communication in real time. According to General Director of VimpelCom Vasil Latsanich, this is the first demonstration of 5G in Russia, the fully serial hardware.
During the demonstration, Latsanich spent holographic 5G-call. It was used by commercial radio 5G Huawei and two subscriber terminal. For such a call would require a special holographic glasses. Signal reception is conducted using 6 HD cameras.
“Beeline” noted among the advantages of 5G average speed of 100 Mbit/s, enough for 4K/8K. The fifth generation connection in the first place, can be used for home use as a replacement for wired Internet. By the way, the world’s first 5G network, which will launch October 1, the operator Verizon in the United States, is just that.
