Microsoft decided to give interested persons an opportunity to extend support for the Windows 7 operating system. This version of the OS will cease to receive security updates on 14 January 2020.
Corporate users can pay extra to get extended security updates Windows 7 ESU until January 2023. Microsoft is going to charge you for each computer and raise the price every year. The exact price of the service is not yet known.
Windows 7 ESU will be able to obtain volume license customers, Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Enterprise. Users of the cloud service Office 365 ProPlus will also be able to continue to use it from Windows 7 until 2023, if we pay for enhanced security updates.
Mainstream support for Windows 7 ended in January 2015. After that, the OS did not receive functional updates, but only updates to eliminate vulnerabilities in the security sphere.
