The development of 3D printing technologies was not going to slow down. Regularly something new is created that simplify life and extend our capabilities. And recently it became known that on one of the enterprises of Rosatom state Corporation created a unique 3D printer is equipped with two lasers and allows you to print simultaneously two different materials.
The printer is designed primarily for working with metals and, in comparison with analogues, its performance increased by 60%. The second laser printer can not only accelerate the production details, but also immediately to handle the item. The main advantage is that there is the ability to produce components from two different metals. According to the Deputy Director General of the Central research Institute of manufacturing engineering Vladimir Beregovo,
“The complexity of creating parts of the two materials is that each of them should have certain properties, corresponding with the passport material.”
Thus during printing will be “chips”, which will be collected and reused. Given the fact that the printer uses just 2 of the material, the size of the particles will initially be different in order to divide them and re-loaded into the device. As a test sample for the new printer will print the blisk used in the manufacture of aircraft. A blisk is a turbine blade which is connected to the rotor disk. As a rule, the blisk is made from a solid metal blank or by UPRAVLENIJA ready blades in the rotor disk. But “double” 3D printer will soon create parts without additional manipulation. And the disc and vanes are made of different Nickel alloys, which, among other things, will also reduce the mass of the part.
