rubles earned in Moscow online shops in six months.
Online trade is growing twice as fast as the market for offline retail. This was reported on the official portal of the mayor and government of Moscow.
For the six months 2018 total turnover capital of enterprises online trading grew by more than 35 percent and amounted to 74 billion rubles, said Minister of Moscow government, head of Department of economic policy and development of the city of Vladimir Yefimov.
According Mosgorstat, in the same period, the turnover of retail trade enterprises of the capital have increased by only 17 percent. Thus, the growth of Internet Commerce in Moscow was higher than conventional stores, more than doubled.
“Active construction of a modern digital infrastructure in recent years, the development of a wide range of services for citizens has made Moscow the leader in the rating of world’s cities UN for the provision of online services”, — said Vladimir Yefimov. According to him, the growth of online trading this year — another proof of that leadership.
