Amateur quadcopters have built a giant LEGO helicopter

Adam Woodworth is engaged in aircraft modeling. He builds models of radio controlled airplanes and helicopters. The last of his creations attracted attention because of the creativity and sense of humor, which Adam comes to his hobby. His recent project – a model of the giant helicopter from LEGO.

Actually, the helicopter is not made of LEGO bricks. Otherwise it would be too heavy. The body is made of Styrofoam. Screw the helicopter, too fake. He can’t rotate fast enough to ensure that the model flew. In fact, the model is a quadcopter with four discreet in-flight screws, which are driven by four rotors.

Adam is not the first time inspired by Legos. He had previously launched gathered a giant model airplane from a set designer. It looks just as good.

Even before Adam Woodward was inspired by “Star wars” and created a flying model of the racing cars from the first episode of the Saga. Who knows what idea he’ll come to mind next time. Will tell about this in our chat.
