To some headphones I get delayed, but since the principle of “better late than never” applies in reviews, for me it is not a reason to abandon a story about an interesting model. So today we will talk about interesting platedriver a native of China, published under the name Magaosi K5.
Don’t know who actually makes this model, because it occurs under different brands, including the recently acclaimed Yinyoo H5 is the same headset, but with a worse package and worse influencing the sound cable (talking about the wires to them I will try to mention in the section of the sound). A good design with well coordinated 5 emitters could not go unnoticed, especially at such an affordable price: ask for Magaosi about $ 180, and against the background of similar proposals of the “big brands”, to say that this price is high does not turn language.

Design and comfortable wearing

The bass here is surprisingly good, even for “mass” characteristics, it has good weight, good speed and elasticity, it provides texture and shared tools. Depth here is not transcendent, emphasis on the midbass and deeper represented in smaller numbers, especially on the background of the typical dynamic models. Overall, I would not consider this to be a problem, since most of the bass is in the midbass, and with it the problem the headphones do not have. The exceptions are the electronic music with sintezirovany subbasal and some tools like a body with its lower registers.
MIDs have Magaosi good, even without the need to make allowance for price. The developers have managed to balance their weight and detail to obtain effective relief flow with a good degree of realism. Stylish headphones emphasize the emotions of the performers and the nuances of sounding instruments, giving a sort of “wow effect”. Imaginary scene a little more than medium in depth and width, the separation of the good plans, the tools a little less than real size.
HF is the only part of the range in which the developers of the model, that is, “not held”. They are not bad, but on a General level sound models still stand out in a positive direction. If this part of the range of modified headphones would have all the chances to dramatically jump up in “level”. RF here is simplified and it sounds flat, although it does not descend into outright synthetics. They also normally count, if you do not suffer from sensitivity in this phase range. Compatibility
As expected from budget megadriver fittings, K5 is quite sensitive to the quality of the source, requiring first near-zero impedance, otherwise, setting crossover “float”, not always predictable, affecting the sound. So I would not recommend these headphones to mobile phones or source with an impedance above 4-6Ω. You should also avoid players with a high level of background noise, 118 dB sensitivity often make themselves know well, or you can use the adapter with attenuator.
Headphones in General are quite versatile, but more fully to their strengths reveal styles focused on the midrange, starting with vocal and instrumental music to well recorded rock. The quality of the recording they are tolerant, but to a certain limit, so around 7 points, “being a bully” 10.
A few traditional tracks as examples
