The Chinese company Meizu began sending invitations to journalists at a press event scheduled for July 30, 2018. It must be the announcement of the smartphone Meizu 16.
The invitation is in itself unusual. In the box contains a bottle of Head & Shoulders shampoo with a volume of 400 ml and a shelf life until July 2021.
This is not the first time Meizu uses a non-standard approach to invitations. In February, as invitations to the announcement of the smartphone Meizu E3 were sent pans and a mug, made in the form of Canon lens 70-200mm. Earlier Meizu used an old Nokia 1110 and even sneakers.
According to earlier leaks, Meizu 16 Plus features a 6.5-inch AMOLED-display with a resolution of Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels), dual-core camera 12+20 MP with 3x zoom and a front camera 20 MP. The hardware basis became a top processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, 5 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal flash memory.
The battery has a capacity of 3570 mAh. Work is performed under 8.1 Android Oreo. TENAA confirmed also integrated in the fingerprint scanner. The smartphone will come in black, silver and blue color options. Dimensions are 160,4 x 78,2 x 7.3 mm and weighs 180 grams.
Meizu 16 got a smaller screen diagonal and a smaller battery capacity — 6-inch AMOLED Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) and a 2950 mAh battery. Processor, memory, camera and screen scanner it will be the same as in the Meizu 16 Plus. Dimensions are 150.5 x 73,2 x 7.3 mm and weighs 156 grams.
