Rolls-Royce showed his own flying taxi

British automaker Rolls-Royce has introduced the concept of private flying taxi at the air show “Farnborough-2018”. The development is described as the vehicle EVTOL — electric vertical takeoff and landing.

A taxi can carry four to five passengers at speeds up to 400 km/h on distance to 800 km. Rolls-Royce expects that design will be adapted for personal and public transportation, military and logistics. Start of production and “exit to heaven” is planned in early 2020-ies.

While EVTOL built on successful gas turbine Rolls-Royce M250. The concept uses a turbine to generate electricity six jet engines. This means that the current design of the vehicle does not need recharging since the batteries can be operated from M250.
