SpaceX sent a robot to explore the cosmos

Company SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral in Florida. The rocket carries cargo Dragon capsule and robot assistant CIMON (Crew Interactive Mobile Companion) artificial intelligence system for the International space station.

Robot CIMON was created by Airbus, as an artificial intelligence used by the AI system Watson from IBM. He will communicate with the ISS crew and will allow to test the artificial intelligence in space. However, during the stay on the ISS experience of his interactions with staff will not exceed three hours.

The robot looks like a ball with a built-in screen. It weighs about five pounds and is equipped with 14 fans to move around the ISS in conditions of weightlessness. Besides the fact that it displays various useful information, it also has an interface with an animated “face”.
