The LG Group was replaced by the head. The leadership of the company passed from Koo Bon-mu (Koo Bon-moo) to his son, Koo Kwang-mo (Koo Kwang-mo). The latter was a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Director of the company since June 29, 2018.

Sam Koo Bon-Moo died of a brain tumor at the age of 73 years. His son Koo Kwang-mo was born in 1978 and joined the financial team of LG Electronics in 2006. now he owns a 6.24 percent stake in the holding.
