buyers don’t pay in online stores with cash.
PayPal in conjunction with Data Insight conducted a study of the online economy in Russia, as residents of large, medium and small cities buy, sell and pay online.
As it turned out, the online economy is growing across the country. More than half of Russian Internet users at least once in last 12 months bought on the Internet goods — 65%. Of those surveyed, 21% buy only in Russian online stores, 15% — only abroad. Growing rapidly while the proportion of those who buy both in Russia and abroad: from 12% to 19% of all respondents for the year.
Each seventh online user (14%) stated that they have no use or almost no use of cash, and fears of online payments is still great, but abstract.
