Researchers at the University of Michigan presented to the public a miniature computer that managed to beat the last record of IBM. The dimensions of the gadget amounted to 0.04 cubic millimeter, it is almost 10 times less than the record achievements of IBM. As seen in the photo, the computer is much less than a grain of rice.
The chip can deliver and receive information, monitor and analyze it. As expected, the device will find its application in medicine and other fields. For example, will be able to track tumors in the body with a higher temperature.
It can be used to diagnose cancer, determine the pressure inside the eye to diagnose glaucoma, to monitor biochemical processes, oil deposits, to conduct audio-visual surveillance and research miniature slugs and more.
