GitHub Microsoft bought for $ 7.5 billion

Monday, may 4, it became known that Microsoft agreed with GitHub, the world’s leading development platform software that runs more than 28 million developers on the acquisition. Together, both companies will guide developers and help them to achieve more at every stage of the development lifecycle, to attract enterprises to use GitHub to contribute tools for developers Microsoft’s new audience.

In accordance with the terms of the agreement, Microsoft takes on GitHub for 7.5 billion dollars of Microsoft stock. Until the end of the calendar year the transaction will be issued.

GitHub continue to operate independently, providing an open platform for all developers in all sectors. Developers will still be able to use programming languages, tools and operating systems of their choice for their projects and to deploy your code on any operating system, any cloud, on any device, as before.
