There are various companies are discovering hundreds of new viruses. Among them can be as innocuous and highly hazardous computer programs that can leave you without a single penny in the Bank account. And recently had a virus on Android spotted the company’s specialists Symantec. The uniqueness of the new virus in that it does not manifest itself until, until you decide to call the Bank, and then redirects the call to the scammers.
The virus called FakeBank, as already mentioned, infects smartphones based on operating system from Google and on devices running other systems has not been noticed yet. According to experts, FakeBank embedded in smartphones, examines banking applications and then performs the operation under the guise of financial institutions. Symantec also reported that at the moment they have found 22 infected apps, which basically are distributed through alternative app stores, as well as through social networks. The largest number of infected devices was in South Korea and the Asian region, but experts do not exclude that the virus can move beyond this area.
As stated by the experts, the new virus is the easiest way to infect the smartphones with Android versions 5 and below, as they are easier to get permits necessary to deceive the user. Well safety recommendations in this case are pretty standard: don’t use “left” and app store and install only the most recent, and most importantly, the official version of the operating system on your smartphone.
