With the advancement of technology there are more so-called “smart” clothes. On the one hand, such items of clothing can be unnecessary to the mass consumer. Another thing — inventions designed to help those whose service is connected with saving the lives. Exactly such a device was presented by the employees of the company Nokia: high-tech jacket with removable modules, which can improve the work of police, firefighters and other professions responsible for health and human security.
“Smart” jacket called CHASE LifeTech FR, and it will be manufactured by Nokia, together with the Korean company Kolon, having my own clothing line as well as Czech software company, GINA. At first glance, the jacket is bright yellow with reflective elements is a little different from the ordinary clothing, which is used all over the world. But this is only at first glance: all the fun is inside the jacket.
The first is to draw attention to the fact that CHASE LifeTech FR built-in sensors for monitoring heart rate, body temperature and the environment, accelerometer and GPS. On the sleeves and in the field chest pockets are slots for plug-in modules that the user can replace at will and depending on the task. For example, the police may set up a video camera and a fire – temperature sensors and carbon monoxide.
All data (including the location and route of the user) are sent to the base station where it is processed and analyzed by the operator. In addition, the jacket is equipped with a communication module with a base for coordination. Also stated that CHASE LifeTech FR can be washed in a regular washing machine after removing an electronic module that is simple to do and requires no special skills. Stated that in a smart jacket should arrive in the next 12-18 months.
