SpaceX successfully launched the first satellites for Internet distribution

After repeated postponements of the launch that took place for different reasons, today, February 22, the company SpaceX, owned by Elon musk, were finally able to launch a rocket, the Falcon 9, on Board of which were the first two satellites Microsat 2a and 2b, intended for distribution of “global Internet”. With them on Board were the Spanish radar satellite PAZ.

The satellites, called Tintin 1 and 2 have already passed the test signals to the Ground and, according to the assurances of the Mask, “Hello”, passing “Hello World” about a day, when they fly over Los Angeles. Oh Yes, Musk was asked not to tell anyone the password from the Wi-Fi…

I hope you’ll keep your mouth shut.

Yesterday, SpaceX announced that it plans to keep the fairing of the rocket, catching it with a giant network that is installed on the vehicle of Mr. Steven, unfortunately, this has not succeeded. In his Twitter Elon Musk announced that the fairing fell in the water a few hundred meters from the ship.

If SpaceX will be able to catch it and collect it again, it is possible that the rocket will fly in space, saving the founders of about six million dollars.

Going to try to catch the giant fairing (nosecone) of the Falcon 9 as it falls back from space at about eight times the speed of sound. It has onboard thrusters and a guidance system to bring it through the atmosphere intact, then releases a parafoil and our ship, named Mr. Steven, with basically a giant catcher”s mitt welded on, tries to catch it.

Recall that today’s launch was postponed several times due to weather conditions and rechecking all systems.

The launch of the Microsat satellites 2a and 2b, a part of the pilot program Starlink, in which Elon Musk has decided to provide distribution of high speed Internet in all corners of the Earth. Just by 2024 it is expected to send into orbit 12 thousand satellites that will provide access to the Network for everyone.
