Representatives of Daimler, during the press conference held in Stuttgart, demonstrated the image of the new Actros heavy electropure, mass production is scheduled to start in three years. Weigh the trucks will be from 18 to 25 tonnes and can travel on a single charge up to 200 kilometers.
Trucks will be equipped with two electric motors with a total power of 250 kW and two batteries with a capacity of 240 kWh, the charging cycle which will be from 3 to 11 hours.
Company representatives noted that their trucks are applied for transportation in the city, as the reserve is simply not enough for long-distance flights, but they will be able simultaneously to carry in the truck to 11.5 tons, making them the most effective electrogrooving today.
Previously, the production of trucks was planned to start in 2020, but then moved the time for the year. Prices for new electropure the group has not yet reported.
Recall that the Japanese company Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation, owned by Daimler, plans to start mass production of urban electrographical eCanter — their reserve of up to 350 kilometers. Dimensions perfectly fit into the image of Asian cities, whose residents traditionally prefer to transport on a small truck.
