Specialists AI lab of the US army and developers of the University of Texas have created artificial intelligence Deep TAMER, who will be able to quickly learn new skills by watching videos in an accelerated mode. People who train the AI will monitor the results of training, to praise or to scold the robot depending on the situation. The training process resembles the training of the dogs, and the speed at which the AI will learn new “tricks,” must rise significantly.
The study’s lead author and a developer of technology Dr. Garrett Warnell explained that with a new training program AI robots will be able to learn much faster, adapting to circumstances and adapting to current challenges. In addition, he noted that this work will be an important step in creating a fully Autonomous device, capable to make decisions independently and to perform a variety of complex tasks not only in laboratories but also in the field.
Now robots are learning for a long time, interacting with objects by trial and error. Only after a number of incorrect sequences of actions, they begin to act more or less true, but while training the robot, for example, can completely break down, falling from a cliff or drowning. A new method and help people speed up training and help avoid fatal errors.
