Singapore will launch a man into the stratosphere in a balloon

Singaporean scientists are going for the first time to launch the first manned balloon that will leave the person into the stratosphere, — said the head of the developer company In.Genius Sen Lim. In addition, he noted that the flight has already selected the candidate — the authors of the idea had to choose the best of the twenty-six pilots, who applied for participation in the experiment.

According to the idea, the pilot will fly in the stratosphere — a special capsule, which will attach to a giant balloon. In the capsule will be supported by stable pressure and temperature in the range of 25-17 degrees Celsius. This will help the pilot to overcome a height of 19,200 feet above sea level without special equipment at such a height the person can boil the blood.

The project was intended to be implemented by the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the state in 2015, but then something went wrong, the company does not have time to complete the development of a stratospheric balloon and get permission to fly in the civil aviation authority. A year later, the developers have launched an unmanned test capsule with a ball, and later sent into the stratosphere mice that spent almost a half hour. Now it was the turn of the pilot. It is expected that the launch will take place near the Australian city of Alice springs. The project cost is estimated at 7.6 miilliony dollars.
