Scientists from the European space Agency has published a very unusual photo of Mars. The image was obtained orbital Martian probe Mars Express on 19 June, when the probe flew by the planet from North to South. The result was the full height. The area with the ice cap of the red planet, located in the North, is located at the bottom, and the famous red landscape of the equator top.
Astronomers report that the pictures they received the first wide-angle picture of the planet. Now scientists can study the surface of unexplored regions of Mars with an even more thorough level of detail. In the received frame, sealed faults, canyons and volcanoes of Mars, including the vast Alba Mons – its diameter is more than 1000 kilometers.
