The European space Agency will cross drones with the satellites

Experts from the European space Agency started to develop a high altitude pseudo-satellites, designed to be the missing link between satellites and aircraft. High-altitude pseudo may look like a regular plane, but can fly at much greater altitude, and may hang for a few weeks at one point — just like the satellite. But he will do so not in space and in the atmosphere.

The developers say that the usual height at which to fly high-altitude pseudo-satellites will be about twenty kilometers, which is significantly higher than all passenger lines, and yet there is so high that even the wind will not interfere with such devices float in the air almost on the spot. In addition, since the height is perfectly clear, and therefore, the presence and quality of the optics of the apparatus will be able to conduct aerial photography, give online and specify the path to the navigation in the network.

In ESA have been planning to start to build something like that, but in the last 20 years and then had problems at first with the size, then with other systems. Last month, ESA has invited various scientists who can help realize these ideas.

The idea is really good, because the pseudo-satellites are much cheaper to develop, maintain and run than conventional orbital machines, the task can execute similar.
