According to the editors of the New Atlas, a group of researchers from Taiwan, who organized a startup called Otto Bikes, recently managed to introduce their first product – a motorcycle on electricity (or abbreviated electricl) designed to explore the city. As stated by the developers, such a vehicle can be a more affordable alternative to most existing electric cars.
The first sample authored by Taiwanese company got the name of the Mini game, and, despite the name, the characteristics of the vehicle are very impressive. “Baby” weighs 132 pounds, but electric capacity of 10 horsepower allows the machine to accelerate to 103 kilometers per hour. However, the claimed distance Mini City Racer can drive without recharging is about 100 kilometers. Electricl powered from the lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 4.8 kW, and to fully charge a fully discharged battery requires only 2 hours.
There was a place for few innovations: for example, Otto Bikes plan to equip their offspring fully custom frame, large color display and the ability to connect your smartphone.
