The company Tesla plans to build in North America for its charging stations to ensure electric vehicle owners to charge their cars at any place and whenever you want. But what about Europe? There, too, there are not so many charging stations. This issue has decided to take on German energy Corporation E. On, recently announced plans to install 10 thousand charging stations for electric cars.
The power of the electric charging stations will initially be 150 kW, but then it will be increased to 350 kW. One such station can fully charge the batteries of a conventional electric car for half an hour, this charge will be enough for 400 km. At each station will be set from two to six charging systems.
A network of electric charging stations will be built in the framework of the program “Freedom is Electric”, which is now actively developing a number of countries, among which already includes Norway, Denmark, Germany and Italy. The first installation will be in Denmark and Germany in the following, 2018.
Under the plan, electric refuelling will be located at a distance of about 180 kilometers from each other — this will allow you to use their electric vehicle owners even with a small battery capacity, and actively to international travel. The total project cost was not disclosed, but we know that one of the investors will be the European Union.
