If the first artillery shell whistling overhead, exploded somewhere in the back, and second, it reached, thundered ahead, rejoice in the mistakes can only be an inveterate optimist, because the third shot most likely will fall right in the middle. As often happens in the world of audio, and the company Simgot is perfectly demonstrated. EN700 was interesting, but a bit garish for the sound model, followed EN700 Bass is also good but a little dark, imposing, and finally in front of us EN700 Pro.
In Simgot the first time managed to make a great design of the headphones and find a good radiator to use in them. Then followed a series of experiments with the tuning-changing the overall “flow”, which gave the model EN700 Bass. The company has decided to improve the sound and released an updated version, dubbed EN700 Pro and, in addition to the changes in sound, has a replaceable wire. Earphones have grown up a bit in price, but in General their price tag of $ 150 still quite humane for initial-middle segment.

Packing and delivery
With box Simgot have always been very cool and the Pro version is even better. Pure black “skin” looks better white, complementing the main box of the same black cardboard. Inside are the headphones, cable, two sets of nozzles for 3 pairs each (sizes range), a cool leather case and brush for cleaning earbuds.
Different nozzles, as in the previous embodiments, the headphones offer different sound, which amounts in fact to two options: “more bass” and “less bass”.
Design and comfortable wearing
In full compliance with the principle of “let well alone”, Simgot decided not to change the appearance. This is a sensible idea, after all, why give up one of the best designs in the IEM? The headphone enclosure is made of metal, they have an interesting oval shape, and the outer face is decorated with decorative lattice appearance resembling HiFiMan HE-1000. Produced “about 700” in several color options, including pairs of different colors (red right, blue left), so that fans of delights to choose from.
Headphones, of course, designed for behind-wearing, to put their cable down if possible, it is very difficult (I would not have taken). Due to the absence of sharp angles and smooth shape, they are comfortable enough to sit in ears and do not cause the slightest trouble. Soundproofing about average, maybe slightly better than typical of the form factor. In other words for street or public transport it would be enough, but the subway or the plane — no longer exists.
Replacement wire downright asking for it in these headphones in the last modification, but do it just this once. In Simgot came to the conclusion that the MMCX connectors are not robust enough (and in some ways they are right), and used the regular dukenuly connector is very good quality. He is moderately tight, so the headphones were well kept, but it can still be disconnected without the typical models “grandmother for Dedkov, Dedkov for cable…”. Wire made of very high quality, it is moderately soft, has almost no microphone effect and will not harden in the cold. For this price, the cable and looks exceptionally well (a splitter and plug praiseworthy), and the inside is not bad. The developers used a hybrid conductors consisting of copper and silver (but also copper) lived, according to them, that is the cable we should be grateful for the improved sound.

Before listening headphones were heated for 48 hours.
Like last time, the headphones provided two sets of nozzles that can be simplistically divided into “bassy” and “balanced”. With EN700Bass I liked the ones that added bass, but with the Pro version of the headphones will just use “normal”, they are more fully highlight the step forwards made by the company in the field SC – and HF-ranges.
Bass this model is still a bit accented and slightly smoothed to produce a pleasant effect of warmth. The emphasis is on the middle part of the bass range and the area that preceded it. Fans of uterine deep layers of bass these headphones will not work, because despite the fact that the lower part of the audible range is present here, she is not aggressive, so as not to draw attention to themselves. Speed characteristics of low frequencies are not outrageous, but normal for this price range, as well as the textures. The developers did not set a goal to make superlattice bass, but the speed of the bass there is still a little better EN700 Bass, so the “Proshka” is less impressive and sometimes even able to portray hlestkost.
The midrange is also a little flattened, but worked on that this smoothness does not interfere with the headphones sound natural. A small increase of naturalness in the upper part of the mid-range gives the sound EN700 Pro of realism in the transfer of instruments and vocals, and also helps voices sound more emotional. On brutal styles and hatch the beginnings of an aggressive flow, although this is highly dependent on selection of source. Ostry KC06A. Legendary model, sold countless times, offers a more colored sound with more emphasis on the treble and the worst control of the bass. In addition, Simgot also superior to the “six” of naturalness in the midrange, but it’s hard to expect different results at almost double the difference in price.
Ostry KC09. A recent step forward for Ostry allowed them to make one of the best models in the near future. The sound of “Nine” more collected compared to the EN700, offer the best solution bass and slightly more treble pressed for those who don’t like this range (all but 09 is heavily dependent on tips).
12 Meze Classic. IEM Meze from a more aggressive transmit RF, so their supply is more V-shaped, but in fact it is the apparent effect. 12 sound so “driving”, while the 700 Pro offer a more relaxed sound.
Dunu Titan 1/FiiO EX1. A classic of the genre IEM monitor initial-middle segment offers a more neutral flow without accentuate some parts of the range. The titans better resolution and more neutral, but their straightforward WSC and open-back design like not everyone.
Simgot EN700 Bass. I already described the difference between the two generations of these headphones, but again to summarize not hurt. “Proshka” offer faster bass and more emotional WSC, naturally sounding, than the previous generation.
Compatibility
In fact, 16 Ohms impedance is not enough in our time, powerful players. However, this is largely kompensiruet normal sensitivity index, so in most cases, these headphones are tolerant to background noise of the amplifier (although exceptions, of course, are). They can be used with smartphones/tablets, but I would still recommend them player initial segment or slightly above, not without reason in some places for sale a set of Simgot EN700 Pro and Caiyn N3, the latter even with the changed, improved design.
Headphones stylistically versatile, but best of all they disclose on pop music, jazz, good Blues and classic rock stuff. Also pleased with them the sound some chamber compositions and vocal. The quality of the recording they are slightly more critical of his predecessors, somewhere in the 7 to 10-point scale.

Phil Collins — Another Day in Paradise. Of course, Collins ‘ solo career, in my opinion, inferior to what he did in Genesis, but my subjective opinion does not negate the objective hits of his solo works, and “Another day in Paradise” is clearly among his most famous works. Simgot EN700Pro, by the way, perfectly show the advantages of the use of 2016: more saturated treble, giving the music more depth and three-dimensionality, well-played headphones and just relaxed NCH fall in the “General outline” of the track.
Theatre of Tragedy — And When He Falleth. In the infinitely distant 96-m to year the idea of a combination of clean female vocals and male growling vocals in metal were not just original, but also to give freshness of great finds. Until “Tarja came and brought everything to the nerd” was still a few years, and ToT was among the innovators of the genre. To the credit of the musicians it is worth noting that the album is surprisingly well written and even without the remaster (made in 2013) sounds quite normal, and confirm EN700Pro.
Placido Domingo — La Donna e Mobile. That’s what is certainly good streaming services, the speed of realization of desires. I decided that this collection of tracks has to be well-known Opera classics, a few minutes — and the track selected. A few minutes on artist choice and voila, with us Placido Domingo and the London Symphony orchestra. Of course, to be Frank, this music needs headphones top segment, but EN700 Pro here not hit face in the dirt, playing, maybe not perfect, but adequate for music enjoyment level. And on this track clearly demonstrates the difference between this and the previous generation of headphones Simgot, “bass”, this track sounds not so hot, and “Proshka” is no cause for sharp criticism.
Insights
Perhaps, on this model Simgot can stay in the “develop” line EN700, I don’t think this idea can be something to squeeze, because EN700 Pro offer a beautiful option is a bit relaxed, but natural sound for lovers of this filing, imputing it into a stylish metal casing with high-quality replaceable wire.
