Belarusian currency and stock exchange has launched a pilot project based on blockchain technology, reports the news Agency BelTA with reference to the head of marketing and sales BCSE Vitaly Tikhonov. According to the head of the stock exchange Andrei AbhimAna, the project aims to streamline reporting, reduce paperwork and gradually move away from paperwork.
On realization of the project worked together specialists of the national Bank, Center of banking technologies and employees of the exchange.
“So far, the pilot project will allow to test technology, and in the future will provide an opportunity to exchange a number of new directions, including the organization of the crypto currency exchange, but this has uncertain future”, — said AbhimAna.
At the moment, the legal status of cryptocurrencies in Belarus is not settled, because now the authorities are considering this issue, and soon I plan to prepare a number of normative acts, to define the cryptocurrency in the legal field of the country.
Register of transactions with securities is the second project in the country implemented with the blockchain. The first is the register of Bank guarantees, launched by the national Bank.
