While several companies are engaged in the implementation of the project Hyperloop, Elon Musk is digging for itself tunnels under Los Angeles, but Uber plans in the coming years to launch a flying taxi, a former SpaceX engineer Borgan Bamberger decided to add to highways two additional lanes which will move a particular vehicle at speeds of 320 kilometers per hour. The project was named Arrivo, and the eponymous startup has already signed an agreement to build such a road transport management co.
Arrivo offers everyone a quick trip without any excessive noise in the city. For example, in the airport of the city of Denver can be reached in just 9 minutes instead of the usual 55. Judging by the official video, posted online, the management of transport in these high-speed road is not going to be trusted by drivers. For movement on the road Arrivo need special vehicles for transportation of passengers, cargo and other car. They will move on to the road by means of magnetic levitation, due to which it is planned to reach such high speeds. However, they will be able to move on perfectly normal roads, if that requires the situation.
While the technical details of the project to a wide audience were not disclosed. But it is already known that the first section of such a road appears along the toll road E-470 located near the airport in Denver. The road building plan to finish by 2019, and passenger transportation will begin in 2021. It is not very clear, in what will result such a project, but to observe the development of the modern city infrastructure on the background of the introduction into it of high technologies is always very exciting.
