Scotland first in the world to fully switch to clean energy by 2020

More and more countries and regions plan to fully give up traditional power plants that pollute the environment, clicking on the “clean” and renewable energy. First, it will help to reduce the emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere, and secondly, often solar or wind energy is even cheaper than the traditional one. That is why the government of Scotland announced that will soon receive all necessary power from the sun, water and wind.

The regional authorities actively promoted the transition to clean energy by stimulating local enterprises and private business. In addition, before the local government built a wind power plant, whose capacity now reaches 500 MW. Currently in development is a plan under which power stations are going to double.

At the moment, about 60% of all produced in the region of energy comes from “clean” sources, the use of which cheaper every year, so by 2020 there are going to completely abandon the old and dirty way of obtaining electricity.

Soon, the Scots plan to join some us States and Chinese provinces. For example, in California going to completely switch to solar energy by 2045, in Atlanta, plan to do so ten years earlier.
