NASA astronaut Randy Breznik, who is currently on the International space station, recently highlighted a bit of your precious time to show you what happens when you take the spinner into orbit and force it to spin… forever. As between the components of the spinner less friction, the toy will spin with no hands and stop after many years of being in empty space. But in terms of the ISS, of course, air friction will make it stop much faster.
“If you allow the spinner to swim [in microgravity], reduced friction, since the Central ring and the remaining parts of the spinner are balanced, and the whole toy will spin as a single unit,” explains Breznik.
