The head of Virgin Galactic flew SpaceShipTwo on in six months

Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Galactic, said in an interview with Business Insider that, according to the company, the spacecraft SpaceShipTwo will fly into space in the next three months. Yet without the people, but in the next six months in VG and plan to make a manned flight.

These terms have been reiterated by representatives of the company earlier, but now from the mouth of the founder they sound not as rough estimates, but as something self-evident. The flight will take place, and that’s a fact.

“We hope that until our ship is in space, remained about three months. As for my flight there, I’ll have to wait six months”, — quotes the words of Richard Branson’s edition of Mashable.

Apparently, the head of the company not only is confident in the success of the flight, but in the safety of the ship, just not afraid to step on his Board in the near future.

Virgin Galactic is not the only American company engaged in the development of the spacecraft. In the near future, manned the ships of own development plan to carry out SpaceX and Blue Origin, but, according to the representatives of the latter two, their flight will take place not earlier than the second half of 2018. So Virgin Galactic seem to be able to stay ahead of the competition and become the first commercial company to make tourist flights into space.
