For Casio developed the printer to print realistic textures

It seems that print technology from Casio will soon become very useful in many different manufacturing industries, because the printer Mofrel developed by engineers, the company is able to very clearly print the various structures in great detail and accurately imitating leather, wood and other materials, and then painting them 16 million colours.

On the materials is clearly visible stitching at seams, fabric texture, pores and cracks on the skin. In addition, Mofrel allows to simulate even brick, ceramic, wood and many other materials. For some, however, you must first apply on the basis of the additional reinforcing layer, but this is detail.

But just 5 minutes plain white blank A4 can be turned into a piece of “skin”, “tree” or to simulate a different texture. The price of the product is only about ten dollars. And it is much cheaper production of similar structure and dimensions of the piece using other technology. Printer Mofrel worth 44 thousand dollars, but it can be useful anywhere, including for the decoration of surfaces, production of clothes, footwear, interior items and much more. Presumably, when the proper amounts of development Casio will pay for itself pretty quickly.

If things go well, the developers are going a year and a half to present a mini-Mofrel similar in functionality to the unit, but designed for home use — the cost will be cheaper, but production volumes will be quite wrong.
