Company Mako from the UK has created a unique surfboard equipped with an engine of 100 cubic metres, thanks to which it can accelerate to 50 kilometers per hour. Engineers have considered many other options, but that jet engine seemed to them best.
The Board is equipped with a three liter gas tank that can provide up to forty minutes of continuous movement on the waves at a speed of about 40 kilometers per hour. The engine is just mounted on a Board with clips, so it can be easily removed for repair or replacement on the other. Board length — 1.8 meters, width — 60 inches. It weighs 19 pounds and is made of carbon fiber, providing a construction excellent stability and high-quality slide in any situation.
The damper motor can be controlled using the remote, similar to those used on electric skateboards, so enjoy the novelty can not only professionals but also beginners.
Unfortunately, to use the new Board will be able to only those surfers whose mass does not exceed one hundred pounds. At larger “riders” can cause problems. Board price will be around ten thousand dollars excluding shipping.
