Who said that will have to wait until October 26 for the first time to see a fully electric truck company Tesla? One of the crafty users of the website Reddit shared a photo of the new truck company, which somewhere are transported. As expected after the “zatravochka”, the truck will look very futuristic. At the moment the machine form can be evaluated only from one side. Other photos, unfortunately, no.
Exact specifications, as well as the exterior and interior of an electric Tesla truck is still kept secret. Experts say that, most likely, the car will have a power reserve of approximately 300-500 miles on a single charge, so it most likely will go on the tractor, designed for use on shorter freight routes, and not for long distance transport across the country.
In addition, for anybody not a secret that Elon musk liked the idea of unmanned trucks. It is therefore possible that at the end of October we would expect the machine equipped with the appropriate technology.
Unfortunately, for the Tesla it won’t be the first to submit electric truck. A few days ago, a few weeks before the presentation of Tesla one of the largest American manufacturers of trucks, Cummins introduced the electric tractor AEOS. The machine is equipped with an electric motor and a 140-kWh battery, which gives it a range of 225 miles on a single charge. For longer trips, this truck is not good, but capable of carrying cargo weighing up to 20 tons at close distances.
Whether Tesla to surprise and to present a more practical solution at the end of this month? Only time will tell.
