Thousands of residents of the Indonesian island of Bali have been evacuated from villages around the volcano Agung. The authorities call on tourists and local residents on at least 6 kilometres away from the smoking crater.
To date, almost 6000 people on the orders of the authorities left the area. “The volcanic activity remains high and there are signs of lava comes up and for earthquakes”, said a spokesman for the national disaster agency.
