MOSCOW –
Russia seems to put up with a ruling of the European Court of Human Rights (ECTHR) about the gijzeldrama in Beslan. The court sentenced Moscow earlier this year to pay some 3 million euros in damages to survivors and relatives.
The ECTHR ruled that the Russian security services excessive violence used to bring the crisis to an end. It brought many hostages to life. The Kremlin had previously know it does not agree with the ruling.
