The prominent jurist Carla del Ponte, has taken leave of the human rights Council of the United Nations. She let her frustrations run wild about the fact that no special tribunal was established in Syria committed war crimes to punish.
Del Ponte announced earlier this year that her departure from the commission, which is responsible for the investigation of war crimes in Syria. She repeated her farewell to the human rights Council, out of frustration, to stop. “Seven years of crimes in Syria, and in total impunity. That is not acceptable”, said the former prosecutor.
