WASHINGTON –
Russian fighter planes have Saturday targets bombarded east of the Euphrates river near the Syrian city of Deir al-Zor. As a result, several soldiers of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were injured.
This Kurdish and Arab militias are part of the coalition led by the Americans against the Islamic State fight.
The Pentagon said the Russians knew that SDF troops and their advisors are located in that area stopped.
